“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil. God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act."

Martin Luther King, Jr. |
THESE ARE OUR "SANCTITY OF LIFE" WEEKLY BULLETIN REFLECTIONS
12.29.2019 In Texas, a pro-abortion group is giving away candles that say “Abortion Is Magical”. Murder isn't magical. It's not a cozy winter night by the fire or the happy ending to a Hallmark movie. It's a violent, bloody stain left behind by 60 million American children. Children who never got to experience Christmas -- or anything else, because a movement of unapologetic extremists mistakes killing as their "right." Snuffing out life, snuffing out a candle, it's all the same to them. To the rest of the world, Christmas is about birth -- not death. It's a celebration of the most unplanned pregnancy of all. The real light - Jesus Christ.

12.22.2019 No matter how many times we hear it proclaimed, abortion is not a women's reproductive health decision. The false rhetoric aside, the decision being made is bluntly and simply, "Am I going to allow my baby to be born or am I going to have it killed?" Couching the reality of the decision in nicer sounding words, though perhaps well intended, provides linguistic cover to the most brutal, inhumane act that one human can impose upon another---being complicit in the destruction of another's human life. It represents the failure of Christians to live out the Commandment of God---"Thou shalt not murder." As Christians we claim that we believe that babies are being killed. We must ask ourselves then "Why, when millions are exterminated annually in abortion mills, don't we act like we believe this? Why do we treat this barbarism as a secondary issue to gun rights, the postures of football players, taxes, immigration as important as these may be?
12.15.2019 In spite of the fact that it is a consistent talking point mentioned by politicians running for President in 2020, abortion is not a political issue. Abortion is not just a moral dilemma. Abortion is not an ethical discussion or a philosophical debate in which we can just agree to disagree. Abortion is the barbaric destruction of innocent, human life. Abortion is the evil of our age.
1.5
million children killed by the Nazi Holocaust |
12.08.2019 At no time do abortophiles become more indignant than when pro-lifers explain and publicize the many parallels between the original Nazi Holocaust and the abortion holocaust occurring in the United States right now. The intensity of their reaction to such analogies is almost comically vitriolic. They make no attempts to refute, only to condemn, the Holocaust comparison. On one critical point in the analogy however, there is a glaring, tragic difference. In the Nazi death camps, the innocent children walked to their own genocide. At the grisly extermination centers run by Planned Parenthood in America today, the innocents are carried to their deaths by their mothers.

60 million children killed by abortion in America

12.01.2019 O God and Father of the living, to you do we entrust the cause of life. Look down upon the vast numbers of babies not allowed to be born, of the poor whose lives are made difficult, of men and women who are victims of brutal violence, of the elderly and the sick killed by indifference or out of misguided mercy. Grant that all who believe in your Son may proclaim the Gospel of life with honesty and love to the people of our time. Obtain for them the grace to accept that Gospel as a gift ever new, the joy of celebrating it with gratitude throughout their lives, and the courage to bear witness to it resolutely, in order to build, together with all people of good will, a civilization of truth and love, to the praise and glory of God, the Creator and lover of life. Amen.
11.24.2019 One of Satan’s subtle strategies is to entice us to think that we operate effectively on our own ability. As advocates for human life, we engage in a multi-front battle. We fight for legislation and support Pro-Life candidates, witness in front of baby killing mills, March every year in DC, and numerous other ways. We are easy prey to be enticed to think these efforts from our own abilities are enough. We must always remember that we cannot win this spiritual battle with mere human efforts.
11.17.2019 An uncomfortable truth — daily on the Internet, in news broadcasts, or newspapers we hear of acts of barbarism inflicted upon innocent victims targeted by terrorists. So frequent and so heinous are these evil events that our minds can hardly process the fact that they are actually occurring. We can diminish reality somewhat by telling ourselves that they are taking place somewhere far away. Not in our cities. Not in our state. Not in our nation. Yet the same horror is commonplace in our midst—-in our cities, our states, in our nation where since 1973 we have turned our collective backs as innocent preborn babies numbering in the tens of millions are routinely executed by decapitation, dismemberment, and chemical scalding. The death tolls from Isis and all other terror organizations pale by comparison to numbers killed by abortion in America. God forgive our apathy and have mercy upon us.
11.10.2019 The battle to protect sanctity of human life is being waged on two main fronts. We fight the culture of death for the protection preborn babies and, increasingly, we must defend life at the opposite end of the spectrum. Those who favor euthanasia (assisted suicide) speak of the ‘right to die’. No one needs a right to die, it’s a fact of life. What they really want is the right to kill.
Indeed, some people believe that hastening a person’s death means that he will die “with dignity.” The lie is that we must die to retain our dignity. And it is a lie from the pits of hell because we all have inherent dignity given to us by God, and being injured, ill, or near death neither reduces nor degrades our dignity. Furthermore, voluntary euthanasia is a slippery slope which leads to the the next stage - involuntary euthanasia or killing. Assisted suicide means administering lethal overdoses or otherwise causing to die those whose lives are judged useless or lacking in quality. Life must be valued from conception to natural death. Life is worth defending whether in the womb or in the nursing home. |
11.03.2019 Even the seemingly possessed, single-minded proponents of murdering preborn children do not advocate showing abortion on TV. Plus, just try to find any footage of actual abortion on YouTube. This is not because those rabidly promoting abortion are squeamish or sensitive. It is because if people knew what abortion really looks like, it would destroy their pretense that abortion is a civilized answer to the problem of what to do about “inconvenient” pregnancy. Viewing actual procedures is truly a life changing experience. If people would see an abortion, people would end abortion.
10.27.2019 Even the toughest vigil participants hit their knees and shed a tear when a medical waste truck arrives to haul away the tiny bodies of aborted babies. It's bad enough that these precious babies lose their lives. The medical waste truck is a stark reminder that these precious children won't even receive the dignity of a proper burial at a final resting place. Instead, they are destined for an incinerator...or to be sold. It's great to be on the sidewalk when a baby is saved from abortion. . . .but it's just as important to be there for the children who are lost.Your simple, but faithful, prayer and witness might be the only act of love these little girls and boys ever receive in their short time on this earth. That's worth it every time. 40 Days for Life

10.20.2019 If it seems the “political season” is never-ending, that’s because it is. Once an election is finished, we are constantly subjected to the promises made by the candidates and parties who will vie in the next election. Those who have no regard for the sanctity of human life wag their fingers admonishing pro-lifers that being a “single issue voter” is unwise and “ignores all the other just as important issues”. Sadly, too often even “religious leaders” drone this mantra. The reality is that if those aspiring to office are wrong on the issue of Life, they are wrong on most every issue that has to do with family, education and the Judeo-Christian ethic. For this reason, a candidate’s position on abortion should absolutely be a litmus test. Candidates who are wrong on the slaughter of innocent babies can never be right enough on other issues to make up for it.
10.13.2019 Sportscaster Jim McKay in 1978 coined a phrase describing the human drama of athletic competition: “Thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat” Pro-life workers understand the “thrills” when hard-fought for life legislation becomes law, when people who support the sanctity of life win elections, and when yet another abortion mill closes its doors. Sadly, there are also “agonies” when the corollaries of the above happen, our efforts are set back, and discouragement weighs upon us. At these times, we do well to remember the words of St. Pope John Paul II: “Even if the forces of darkness appear to prevail, those who believe in God know that evil and death do not have the final say.”
10.06.2019 Decapitations are evil - except when it's an unborn child. Chemical attacks are reprehensible - except when it's a preborn baby, dismemberment is crime against humanity - unless its done in the womb; or so says every "pro-choice" person. It’s easy to be "pro-choice" when you are not the one being murdered.

09.29.2019 Despite what women with unplanned pregnancies hear from the culture of death, here is the truth. And women struggling with unplanned pregnancies deserve the truth. Abortion does not end pregnancy. Birth ends pregnancy. Abortion kills a baby during pregnancy. Abortion is not a quick fix. It is not a simple procedure that solves all problems. It will create a large hole in your heart and leave you with a lifetime of quilt and regret. Abortion will not heal you. Abortion creates a new, deeper wound.
09.22.2019 The ad nauseam rhetoric we constantly hear during this political season is that abortion is a good thing (some even describe it as a “sacrament”); that it is a Constitutional right due women; that it is a “choice”. The reality is that it is about escaping the consequences of a SINGLE “choice” made by one person by taking away ALL “choices” from another human being.
09.15.2019 Killing a person on the basis of their size, age, level of development, environment or degree of dependency is as arbitrary as killing a person on the basis of their skin color. Our society hasn’t progressed. We have just shifted our violence to a more vulnerable victim.
09.08.2019 Things fail all the time. Equipments fail, organs fail, contraceptives fail, and human beings fail. Killing preborn babies because of contraceptive failure and unwantedness is morally wrong. ABORTION IS NOT A BACK UP PLAN FOR FAILED CONTRACEPTIVES. No matter what you want to call preborn babies inorder to justify their deaths, you cannot change who they are and what they were created to be, if they are allowed to live.
09.01.2019 Secular humanists, those who hold to the belief that humanity is capable of morality and self-fulfillment without belief in God, have made the word abortion sound like a woman’s right, synonymous with health care, female empowerment, standing for women’s issues, a choice, a solution - anything but the truth.
The truth is, however, abortion is the termination of life. It is just a euphemism for murder because the only reason to get an abortion is to avoid the potential of birth – a human birth. Compounding the evil further, never forget that abortion does not just kill one child. It kills generations. |
08.25.2019 Our current 2019 death toll from mass shootings stands at an appalling 245. The collective outrage from our citizens, politicians, and media types is unceasing. Yet each day the body count from abortion is 3000 and the silence from the same segments of society is deafening. It seems the murder of children horrifies us except when they are very young and still in the womb. We cannot ignore mass murder in the womb and be shocked when it happens on our streets.
08.18.2019 Our current 2019 death toll from mass shootings stands at an appalling 245. The collective outrage from our citizens, politicians, and media types is unceasing. It seems the murder of children horrifies us except when they are very young and still in the womb. We cannot ignore mass murder in the womb and be shocked when it happens on our streets.

08.11.2019 The aftermath of yet two more mass murders has left us seeking answers as to how these atrocities can happen. Pointing to the social effects of widespread abortion especially, Archbishop Charles Chaput has observed “certain kinds of killing no longer even count officially as ‘killing.’ Certain kinds of killing we enshrine as rights and protect by law. When we live this kind of contradiction, why are we surprised at the results?”
One presidential candidate this week described abortion not only as a “choice” but as a “sacred choice”. The Speaker of the House describes the murder of preborn babies as a “sacrament”. Every announced candidate for the democrat presidential nomination supports killing children in the womb throughout all nine months of gestation. Violence has been normalized in America’s culture, and faith is wholly absent, leading to a collapse of our moral fiber. Only by eliminating the killing of the preborn and with a renewal in traditional values will America rise back to a moral nation.

08.04.2019 Having unfettered abortion available through all nine months of a pregnancy is loudly promoted as a real benefit for American women. The reality is that this a lie from the very pit of Hell and is the linchpin in the present day “war on women”.
Consider these unspoken of consequences of abortion: A 44% increased risk of breast cancer after abortion;60 % increased risk of miscarriage in future pregnancies after abortion; 6 times greater risk of suicide after abortion, and 65% increased risk of long-term clinical depression after abortion. End the “war on women” now. Stand and speak out against abortion. |
07.28.2019 This week, for the 80th time, Congress thwarted an attempt to vote on a bill that would provide medical care and treatment for babies who survived failed abortions — 78 times in the House and twice in the Senate.
Abortion is capital punishment without due process. The preborn child is condemned to death WITH state approval, but WITHOUT the benefit of trial, judge, or jury. How long will we, a nation professing equal justice under the law, continue to tolerate this mockery of justice?

07.21.2019 Today under the perceived notion of freedom, women have been brainwashed into killing their progeny both female and male, with no regard for the father who has absolutely no rights. And they call it “freedom of choice”. Whose “choice”? Deciding what to wear is a choice. The killing of a human being in the womb is only a perceived freedom of choice. It is, in fact, oppression in disguise. It is homicide. It is murder. No amount of nice sounding words will change the horrible reality.
07.14.2019 Leftist frame abortion as a “human rights” issue. It is not. Because by the time the abortion occurs, reproduction has already taken place. Pro-Lifers never argue that a woman should be forced to reproduce. Our argument is rather that no one has the right to kill a human being that has already been reproduced.
07.07.2019 Those who favor euthanasia (mercy killing), speak of “death with dignity “ and the “right to die’”. No one needs a legislated “right to die”. Death is a fact of life. We all die. What those God-less proponents who support euthanasia really want is the right to kill vulnerable people. Christians are called to work to end euthanasia. Speak out loudly against this manifestation of evil
|
06.30.2019 Ronald Reagan once said: “Let’s keep our faith in God and country strong! Let’s build this nation back up to what it was 60 years ago and make it the greatest in that he world again.” Our country will never become great again while we continue to support Planned Parenthood with our tax dollars and allow them to continue killing babies and selling their body parts. We must stop abortion and euthanasia so America can become great again.
06.23.2019 The road to Auschwitz was built by hate, but paved with indifference. Today the horrors of Nazi Germany may be past, but in America today an even greater number of human beings are on the road to their own deaths in a state subsidized killing center, an abortion mill. The Holocaust murdered twelve million people. Since 1973, over 61.500.000 million preborn babies in America alone have been murdered by the holocaust of surgical abortion. For the sake of this great nation, the silence of indifference must end today.
06.16.2019 Even many otherwise pro-life people favor an exemption to allow abortion if the mother was a victim of rape. They are trying to be kind, but they’re wrong. Rape is an act of violence. It violates the body, the heart, and the soul of the victim. Abortion is more violence. It violates the body, heart, and soul of BOTH victims—-the mother and child. How can anyone make the case that violation is the solution to violation? |
06.09.2019 The never ending mantra from the pro-death side in the spiritual battle for the sanctity of human life is that maintaining the abortion industry's existence is pro-woman - that this "protects her right to reproductive freedom." This is a lie straight from the pit of hell. Consider that 27,328,000 girls every year - 74,871 girls every day - 3,120 girls every hour - 852 girls every minute - 208 girls in Lake/Geauga in 2017 were brutally killed in abortions. Where is the concern for the rights of those victims of serial murder - these "Little Women" whose lives are snuffed out before they draw their first breath? When we kill our own children in such numbers and virtually ignore the tragedy, no other enemies of women are needed - we are the enemy.
06.02.2019 A politician, as a justification for abortion, incredibly recently recommended that since babies born today face a life fraught with difficulties it made no difference if we “kill them now or kill them later”. Poverty and hunger are not solved by killing babies. The foster care system is not fixed by killing babies. Rape is not eliminated by killing the baby—-that in fact destroys the evidence of the rape. It is not “pro woman” to continue to make it legal to kill her child as a “solution” to these problems. Since 1973, over 60 million preborn babies have been killed. Poverty, hunger, a broken foster care system, rape and our societal problems are still with us. Abortion is NOT the solution. It IS further tragedy.
05.26.2019 “Psychological Projection “ is a defense mechanism of repeatedly attacking someone with the ideas that they are: Cold, Arrogant, Selfish, Anti-social and Negative as a way of not admitting to themselves that these appear to be some of their own most dominant traits. Pro-abortionists are using this defense mechanism as they label those who defend life as religious “extremists” while they themselves advocate injecting unwanted babies with poison, snipping their spinal cord, crushing their skull, tearing their body limb from limb, selling their body parts, then lighting buildings to celebrate their mom’s “choice” to execute them. Anyone who is in touch with reality would recognize who is the real “extremists” are.

05.19.2019 We can avoid reality but we cannot avoid the consequences of avoiding reality.
A new global demographics study the world is missing at least 23.1 million females who would otherwise have been born but fell victim to sex-selective abortion. The peer-reviewed study by the National Academy of Sciences of the United States on April 15th, resulted from a five-year combing through data from over 90 countries around the world for the period of the study, 1950 to 2017.
This practice of sex selective abortion further reveals the moral bankruptcy of the exaltation of “choice” as the ultimate justification for abortion. The study demonstrates that misogyny and abortion “rights” go hand-in-hand. Politicians who support abortion and those who vote for them must answer the hard question: Are the 23.1 million missing women and girls in this world an acceptable sacrifice at the altar of “choice”?

05.12.2019 For the 41st time in total, the Congressional Democrats thwarted an attempt by Republicans to vote on the Born Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, legislation that would stop infanticide and provide medical care and treatment for babies who survive abortions — 40 times in the House and twice in the Senate.
Without this Protection, babies who survive an abortion attempt die because of failure to provide life saving care. Allowing the preventable death of a living, breathing, defenseless child in this manner is unfathomable evil and legislators who are complicit are unworthy to represent American citizens. This is willful homicide. This is murder. The blood of these innocents cry out for justice.

05.05.2019 Back in 1990 we naïvely said, “God forbid that this blight of abortion still exist in 1990…” Still exist? It’s worse now than ever. We now have partial-birth abortion, euthanasia, Planned Parenthood selling body parts, and vaccine cell lines created from aborted babies. Are you the one God has sent into the world to bring an end to abortion and euthanasia? Think about it, pray about it, and do something about it.
04.28.2019 An Inconvenient Life. I am a broken promise; a harbinger of sorrow - nothing else. There is no miracle. There is no hope. I am an inconvenient life. I am a half finished sentence. An interrupted thought meant to be forgotten. But in your heart of hearts, you know that I am just like you in every way but love. Was I ever precious? Was I ever wanted. No. I am an inconvenient life. To the millions of souls who are a casualty of inconvenience, intercede for us as we pray to end the scourge of abortion.
04.21.2019 The Senate this week voted for the 39th time against a bill that would have put in place requirements for the care of infants who survived the attempt to abort them. The legislation would require medical professionals to give the same care to a baby who survives an abortion as they would to any other baby of the same age. Without this bill, these babies are allowed to die of exposure unattended on steel surgical tables . During this same week a bill was put forth to protect kittens from cruel treatment.
04.14.2019 Sex trafficking is a booming industry in America. It thrives because there is a serious demand for commercial sex with minors. Every day in America children are being bought and sold for sex. This is not “the world’s oldest profession”. This is “the world’s oldest oppression”. This is slavery. Protect our children. For more information go to sharedhope.org |
04.07.2019 When Jesus was a baby, Satan supported the killing of innocent babies. Today, the same dark forces are with us as our government supports Planned Parenthood and the killing of our babies. This is more than “politics”. This is pure evil.
03.31.2019 Daily, before 9 am, Planned Parenthood kills more children than have died in any school shooting. And, their murder is paid for with American tax dollars. Planned Parenthood takes the lives of over 900 preborn babies every single day - over 330,000 a year. At the same time, they take $563 million of our taxpayer dollars.
03.24.2019 At events marking a tragedy, it has become a custom to pause for a minute of silence to remember victims whose lives have been lost. If we gathered to remember all the American babies murdered in the serial child killing of abortion since the 1973 Roe vs Wade Supreme Court decision, and prayed for just one minute for each of them, the gathering would last for 124 years. That is the enormity of our national sin. God forgive us. |
03.17.2019 The U.S. House of Representatives recently voted to NOT provide medical attention to babies living outside the womb following an attempted abortion. We should ask ourselves, “Who will they decide next is undeserving of medical attention?”
03.10.2019 On Monday, February 25, 2019, the U.S. Senate failed to pass the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which would have protected infants born-alive following attempted abortion procedures. The bill had NOTHING to do about abortion, abortion rights, reproductive rights – it ONLY asked that infants born alive be allowed to stay alive and receive medical care. Now an innocent BORN baby who was not killed in the abortion procedure will be either denied any life saving medical intervention, placed on a steel table, and allowed to die or be murdered to complete the intended abortion. This is clearly infanticide. None of the three “news” networks devoted even one minute to cover this failure of our legislative process. Each Senator voting against the bill received campaign contributions from Planned Parenthood. We must not remain silent. Spread the word about this atrocity.
03.03.2019 “BIRTH CONTROL - The words are not very proper because those who believe in it actually believe neither in birth nor control.” Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
02.24.2019 If you knew a woman who was pregnant, who had 8 kids already, three who were deaf, two who were blind, one mentally retarded, and the woman had syphilis, would you recommend that she have an abortion? If the overwhelming magnitude of ill circumstances had led in this case to following the recommendation for abortion, consider that Beethoven would not have drawn his first breath. |
02.17.2019 Often, pro-deatheath hypocrites, people who support unfettered abortion, wag their fingers at pro-lifers who utilize shocking images of abortion victims when they educate about the reality of the ghoulish procedure. They feign outrage at the effect seeing the pictures will have upon children. However, children are not traumatized by graphic images of abortion victims. They are traumatized by the thought that adults might murder a child in this manner. If a thing is so unthinkable that we should not even see pictures of it, then we should not be doing it.
02.10.2019 Imagine that you are resting in bed. If you are perfectly comfortable in your current position, what would motivate you to change positions? Discomfort is what tells us that we may need to shift our position. We live in a country where 1.2 million human beings are put to death each year by surgical abortion. The magnitude of that evil should make each of us very uncomfortable. If all of America’s 77 million Catholics were made uncomfortable by message that 3000 preborn people are being killed each day and voted only for candidates that support Church teaching, their individual discomfort would cause our society to shift its position.
02.03.2019 Since 1973, there have been nearly 60 million abortions in the U.S. alone. Worldwide, there are 42 million abortions every year. That means that in the last thirty years, there have been over 1.5 billion abortions! 1.5 billion! That’s the equivalent of approximately one quarter of the entire population of the planet! One quarter of the earth’s population, murdered; snuffed out; gone. |
01.27.2019 Only 4 countries in the world allow abortions after 24 wks. China, North Korea, Vietnam, United States. What a horrific club to which to belong! God have mercy on us and on our nation.
01.20.2019 Just like we knew slavery was an unspeakable evil, even after Dred Scott said it was 'legal,' so we know today that abortion is a similar evil that must end, even 46 years after Roe.
01.13.2019 ”Those favoring the pro-death side consistently argue that a decision to abort should involve only “a woman and her doctor.” This argument simplified says that the decision belongs between the woman and the murderer for hire. There are millions of people who have committed murder. Should it stay between them and their gun salesmen, knife sharpener, ball bat maker, or whomever? It doesn’t matter how many do it... it doesn’t make it right. Abortion is an ugly, ugly business. Those who continue to support this heinous act are merely denying the truth.
01.06.2019 Elie Wiesel, Holocaust survivor stated, “To forget murder victims is to kill them twice.” This certainly applies to the 3000 innocents who are murdered each day in America by abortion in their own mother’s wombs. Pray that we never forget and that all who have a hand in abortion or euthanasia will seek God’s forgiveness and choose life. |
